Poor Eric feels as if they have left him in prison and thrown away the key.
His hopes have been raised and dashed so many times that his case of wrongful imprisonment in Congo was about to be reviewed . Last week he was promised a day in court when he was expecting to be released after three years of agony, but nothing happened …yet again. He is now very down and not answering texts or speaking to family members. Another forgotten statistic in the crazy upside down world of Congo. But a person known to God and his wife and kids and his aunty driving a London bus.
He is not the first nor the last to lose hope: ‘Why am I so discouraged? Why so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again – my Saviour and my God!’ (Psalm 42v11). Pray Eric will be able to do this again. Hold the ladder for him right now
Pastor Les, it’s tough for him I know but we also must keep praying. Even if he loses hope, we must keep praying. I must see you soon. Lots of love and hugs Karen
