To give a future and a hope

SHE DID IT! CLIMBED THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN
Charlotte Simon (and her daughter and two other women) – climbed the highest mountain in England and Wales, Mount Snowdon on Saturday to help raise funds for some children in DR Congo to go to school. This was no mean feat . At 3560 feet, Snowdon was used by Edmund Hillary in training for his 1953 ascent of Mount Everest.! Unfortunately on the way down Charlotte slipped

and hurt her knee – but was back driving her red London bus on Monday!

NO MORE MONKEY GOD WORSHIP
On the 14th September Masih das had the joy of baptising 9 new believers in a pond in a village near Ghatsilla, north east India. All nine were from a totally non Christian ‘untouchables’ tribal background, and had turned from idol worship and monkey god worship to following Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. It was a very, very special and brave moment for them.Often new believers in the past have been excluded from using the village well for turning to Christ.
Masih das and Sarita also have 25 children staying with them now in Bethany House from the villages so they can learn to read and write. A special encouragement is that Sarita now has a helper for looking after them – cooking, washing, helping hear them read etc. Its still very much touch and go financially as these people are the poorest of the poor and not able to contribute much to the costs if anything. Bethany was where Jesus favourite house was, he loved staying with Mary, Martha and Lazerus; we think He still enjoys staying there today!
If you’d like to help support either of these significant people giving a future to those who had no hope, please let me know and we can pass your gifts to the right place
Hugs and High Fives!
