I wanted a goat for Christmas last year, for my friend Masih das in India to give to a poor village family. That goat has now become two, (three actually, but one of its babies was given back to the church to be placed in another family).The milk from the goats feeds the family, improves their health and its dung fertilises their rice field. Some goat! Soon this goat’s other baby will be sold to pay for school uniforms and school fees so the children can go to school.
If your friends ask you what you’d like for Christmas why don’t you ask for a goat… get them to give you £15 and send it to me and I’ll get you one. A goat is not just for Christmas!
