Multi cultural hands

Prayer moves mountains – literally. The prayers of Gods people around the world,  lifted to heaven by faith in Jesus, have arrived in heavens courts, and the empire is striking back!

When the bottom of your world drops out

And you are hanging on by a thread

And all you can see is oblivion. And you wonder how long you can hold on. That’s how we feel with the breaking news in the local Hindi media on Friday, that the murderer of the 10 year old boy in Bethany house a month ago was in fact one of the fellow boys staying there. He has confessed to being engaged in a homosexual act in the middle of the night with a younger boy when the murdered child got up to go to the toilet and saw them. And so smashed his head in and then went back to bed. Masih Das and Sarita have now been charged with negligence, of being in charge of children and knowingly letting sordid sexual activity take place on their premises. I have just received a call from Masih Dad and Sarita in India, 4.30 am in the morning their time, telling me they are going to sleep on a bed tonight for the first time in 10 days! They are so full of praise and grateful for all the prayers of Gods people around the world. Both them and the boys that the police were holding have been released. Masih das and Sarita have been taken to a safe place some distance away, the children back to their families. SHOCK WAVES

shock-waves-on-radar-joel-kahn‘The Lords message ran out from you , echoing out like a cry in a dark cave’, said the Apostle Paul of the impact of the believers in Thessaloniki (1Thess 1v8).

He was 350 miles in Corinth in Greece and was amazed to hear of people talking throughout Greece and Macedonia of the changed people down in Thessaloniki. He tells them that, ‘Your faith in God has become known everywhere’.

It thrilled Paul. He had only been in their city for 3 weeks before being run out of town; would these baby Christians survive? He needn’t have worried. The gospel had obviously changed them inside out, and being covered by Paul’s prayer, they just took off. And a whole region was impacted. Continue reading →

THE OTHER SIDE

jesus in boatIt was good to make contact with Masih das and Sarita on the phone again, although they are still too traumatised to say very much. I was able to reassure them of the love and prayers from many around the world. Hearing his struggle to speak reminded me of the first message Masih Das gave in English when he spoke at All Nations Church in London about Jesus telling his disciples to ‘go to the villages on other side’, (of the lake).
